Education
The Midlands offer outstanding educational opportunities. The school
districts of Richland and Lexington counties offer low pupil/teacher
ratio and individualized programs. The area is also served by over
20 private schools. In addition to the University of South Carolina,
several other colleges and universities serve the area.
Enrolling Your Child In Public School
To enroll your child in school, you will need to submit a birth certificate,
immunization records, previous school records, and a medical form from
your physician or the Health Department. Contact your local school
